The Newport 2832-C is a Dual-Channel Optical Power Meter designed to deliver precise optical measurements with rapid data acquisition, exceptional accuracy, and the convenience of two operational channels. This versatile power meter supports both single-channel and dual-channel modes, allowing users to display either channel independently or simultaneously. With an impressive wavelength range spanning from 0.19 to 1.8 µm, the 2832-C accommodates a wide variety of optical power measurements, ranging from 100 fW to 2W in power sensitivity. This device is engineered for compatibility with germanium, silicon, and indium gallium arsenide detectors, along with an array of accessories suitable for connectorized fiber, bare, or free space light sources.

Users of the 2832-C can seamlessly interpret measurements in units such as dBm, A, dB, or W. These values can be directly displayed or represented as relative ratio measurements relative to stored or present values. The power meter's advanced capabilities include the ability to compute moving statistics based on 1 to 100 measurements, facilitated by its moving statistical measurement function. The device also empowers users with a selection of programming features, including options for sampling frequency, precision, digital and analog filtering, and extensive data storage capable of holding up to 1000 readings per channel. The 2832-C boasts IEEE-488 and RS-232C interfaces. Additionally, it allows for convenient setup configurations by enabling storage and recall of up to 10 operating profiles. This power meter features trigger in/out capabilities with adjustable trigger polarity and alarm thresholds.
