Newport 2930-C

The 2930-C by Newport is a Dual-Channel Optical Power Meter designed to meet the demands of scientific research, development, and telecommunications/data communications laser power measurement applications. This advanced power meter operates seamlessly with compatible free-space detectors, offering unparalleled flexibility for all laser power measurements. the 2930-C can be employed as a reliable benchtop test station or easily integrated into automated measurement systems, adapting to diverse setups with ease.

The 2930-C is fully compatible with 918/818 free-space Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs), Silicon (Si), and Germanium (Ge) detectors. This broad spectral range spans from 190 nm to 1800 nm, catering to a wide array of requirements of the measurement of optical power. The 2930-C’s front panel facilitates effortless connections to compatible detectors and allows for the analog output of an amplified detector to an voltmeter or oscilloscope, with a maximum frequency of 100 kHz. The power meter delivers measurements in various units, including dB, dBm, A, and W. These measurements can be displayed directly or as measurements of a relative ratio from stored or present values.

Equipped with robust statistical capabilities, the 2930-C can compute essential parameters such as Min, Max, Max-Min, Mean, and Standard Deviation, providing valuable insights into the characteristics of laser power output. Additionally, the device offers digital and analog filtering options to refine measurements and optimize accuracy. To accommodate extensive data collection, the 2930-C features data storage for up to 1,000 readings per channel, ensuring that crucial information is securely retained for further analysis. Incorporating the power meter into various environments brings distinct advantages, particularly in manufacturing, Quality Assurance/Quality Control, and research & development fields. Users can leverage the power meter's high correlation capabilities across multiple locations, at a price-to-performance ratio.
