The Newport INF-B is a Beyond Infinity Universal Input Meter, designed to encompass an extensive range of DC voltage and current parameters, nine distinct thermocouple variants, multiple RTD types, as well as readings from strain gauge transducers, including potentiometric inputs, pressure transducers, and load cells. This device showcases a ten-point linearization capability for input signals that can be user-configured to suit specific custom applications. The distinguishing feature of the INF-B lies in its 6-digit patented LED display, meticulously engineered to offer programmable color variations, including Green, Amber, and Red, corresponding to user-defined setpoints.

The INF-B incorporates a standard built-in excitation mechanism to power a diverse array of transmitters and sensors, accompanied by four isolated open collector outputs, ideally suited for alarm systems or control functions. The INF-B boasts an optional Serial Communications module, affording users the flexibility to choose from RS-232, RS-485, MODBUS, or ASCII protocols through an intuitive push-button menu. Facilitating seamless integration, the meter can be directly linked to Ethernet networks, enabling data transmission via the standard TCP/IP protocol. This grants users the ability to monitor and manage the meter remotely through a web browser interface accessible from any location on the Internet.

The INF-B provides a diverse spectrum of signal inputs, conveniently selectable through front panel push buttons or via Ethernet and serial communications. A notable attribute of the INF-B is its customizable color display, engineered to transition hues in response to alarms or setpoints. This visual cueing mechanism enables swift recognition of evolving conditions from a distance, empowering machine operators to respond intuitively. The color transitions can be configured to revert once values dip below the alarm threshold or remain persistent until manually reset by the operator. Simultaneously, the display accommodates the presentation of three distinct measurements, encompassing parameters like Flow, Pressure, and Temperature.

The INF-B’s LED screen outshines conventional instruments of similar DIN dimensions, ensuring enhanced visibility. On the measurement front, the meter is proficient in handling nine thermocouple variations, each known for delivering superior accuracy. Moreover, the device seamlessly integrates with a diverse range of RTDs, facilitating precise RTD measurements.
