The PXTX-507/N by Newport is a Strain/Bridge Input 2-Wire Transmitter engineered to deliver essential amplification and common-mode rejection capabilities required for precise control of current draw from a 8 to 40 VDC power source, thereby generating an output signal within the range of 4-20 mA. This transmitter is specifically designed to accommodate bridge sensitivities ranging from 0.5 to 4.0 mV/V and does not incorporate isolation between its input and output channels. Internally, the PXTX-507/N employs two distinct reference voltages to power the bridge. A 1.24-volt reference is employed when working with bridges featuring a resistance of 1K ohms or lower, while a 2.5-volt reference is utilized for bridges with resistances of 2.5K ohms and 5K ohms. This transmitter offers both zero and span adjustability, allowing for precise calibration. Users can also select from a range of input options tailored to their specific needs.
