The Newport ZED-TC-LCD/N is a High-Power Wireless Transmitter designed to facilitate web-based monitoring of a range of parameters including Analog Voltage and Current, Barometric Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity. This transmitter operates seamlessly over Ethernet networks or through Internet browsers. Notably, it is equipped with a high-power IEEE 802.15.4 compliant radio, operating at 2.4 GHz, enabling transmission across extended distances and through obstacles that might impede standard transmitters. The ZED-TC-LCD/N finds its application in both demanding industrial indoor environments and challenging outdoor conditions.

The ZED-TC-LCD/N exhibits the capacity to transmit data up to a distance of 1000 meters, connecting with compatible coordinators or meter-controllers. These devices can then be directly linked to Ethernet networks and the Internet, while simultaneously serving active web pages for real-time data visualization and charting. The transmitter is supplemented with external probes that offer configurability for a diverse array of commercial and industrial uses. These external sensors are deliberately engineered to endure harsh settings, ranging from freezer and refrigerator interiors to HVAC ducts and outdoor weather conditions. The ZED-TC-LCD/N is bundled with a 5 VDC universal AC adapter compatible with voltages spanning from 110 to 240 VAC worldwide. The unit is meticulously safeguarded within a robust, weatherproof polycarbonate NEMA4 / IP65 rated housing, augmented with industrial sensors and a ten-foot-long cable.

The ZED-TC-LCD/N features a wiSeries wireless sensor system, that can be operated with ease and has a straightforward installation process. Featuring iServer technology with an Embedded Web Server, this system eliminates the need for supplementary software for seamless operation. An integral feature of this technology is the ability to generate alarms in response to variables surpassing or falling below user-defined set points. Notifications can be dispatched via email to individual users or designated distribution lists, extending to include SMS alerts to mobile phones and PDAs. The system serves Active Web Pages to visualize real-time data and produce charts of measured values. End users can log data in standard formats compatible with spreadsheet applications and data acquisition programs such as Visual Basic or Excel. The ZED-TC-LCD/N offers dynamic chart scaling and the ability to chart temperature and humidity across their full ranges.
