The 8016 by Newport is a High-Density Modular Laser Diode Controller, a device engineered to excel in laser diode control, characterization, and testing applications. With its advanced circuit designs and meticulous layout of laser diode driver modules, this controller offers users a highly stable and low noise output current, adjustable from 25 milliamps to 10 Amps. The inclusion of an analog modulation input enables precise control of the laser output for various applications, including power level regulation. Real-time control of the output can be achieved using the control knob or by entering the desired set point on the keypad. Conveniently, MENU and FUNC keys allow access to saved system configurations and repetitive procedures, simplifying operation.
