The front panel houses functions common to both TEC and LASER operations, such as GPIB and ADJUST, located on the outer edges. Leveraging the GPIB/IEEE-488 interface, this controller lends itself to remote operation, applicable in research and development as well as production contexts. A trigger output enhances its suitability for integration into automated measurement systems, where the TTL level output signifies a current step change, triggering measurements. Meticulous engineering has resulted in measurement reliability, with stability reaching 20 ppm and noise limited to 1.5 µA. Temperature regulation capabilities are extended, spanning from -100°C to 199.9°C. This temperature control can be effectuated in constant TE current, constant sensor, or constant temperature modes, allowing adaptability to distinct operational needs. In scenarios necessitating added safeguarding, the laser diode current source halts output and an illuminating LED indicator signifies the event of a temperature sensor or TE module circuit interruption during operation.
