Employing a 'clamping' circuit topology, the driver ensures adherence to predefined limits under various conditions, including scenarios involving current modulation. A strategically placed output shorting switch enhances operational safety by facilitating controlled activation and deactivation while concurrently safeguarding the laser during connection, disconnection, and loading/unloading procedures. The front panel design of the driver does not have the complexity of multi-function keys or menus. The LDX-3525B empowers precise laser diode current control across three distinct modes: constant optical power mode, high-bandwidth constant current mode, and low-bandwidth constant current mode.

Facilitating remote operation, the LDX-3525B is equipped with a USB 2.0 serial interface. This interface allows seamless remote programming and control, making it particularly advantageous for automated control and test systems necessitating meticulous data handling, accurate measurements, and dependable test sequencing. Compatibility with LabVIEW software drivers simplifies setup and control, as the software organizes instrument controls in a manner mirroring the front panel layout, thereby facilitating intuitive remote monitoring and management. The LDX-3525B's calibration data is automatically stored within its on-board non-volatile memory.
