To ensure backlash-free motion, the 460A-XYZ utilizes a spring-loaded mechanism against the drive actuator. The vertical-drive assemblies effectively bear the load through the actuator spindle, offering positive load support instead of relying solely on the springs. Despite its lightweight nature and lower load capacity, this stage exhibits exceptional travel straightness throughout its 0.5-inch (or 13 mm) travel range, with a deviation of less than 150 µrad. This linear stage features convenient external mounting tabs, eliminating the need for precise positioning for mounting through hole exposure.
