The 460PD-XYZ by Newport is a Peg-Joining 3-Axis Dovetail Linear Stage designed specifically for applications demanding exceptional stability and the ability to handle heavy loads. Unlike bearing stages, this stage is engineered to be less susceptible to vibrations and exhibits enhanced robustness. Notably, it is fully compatible with the 460P series Modular Ball Bearing Linear Stages, offering added versatility and adaptability. Featuring an 80 TPI drive screw, the 460PD-XYZ ensures precise positioning with utmost accuracy. Its integral locking mechanism adds an extra layer of security to prevent undesired movements during operation. Additionally, with a travel range of 0.5 inches, this stage allows for precise linear motion control.

The 460PD-XYZ employs a unique peg jointing system that facilitates easy joining of multiple stages. To securely assemble the stages, the pegs are threaded into corresponding holes, upon which the desired stage is placed, followed by tightening two set screws on the side of the stage. This assembly method allows for effortless disassembly and reassembly of stage stacks into various configurations. Moreover, the pegs can be positioned at different locations on the stage, enabling stable offset assemblies. To enhance mounting flexibility, both the 460PD-XYZ and its compatible stage feature four through holes. This design feature enables convenient attachment of additional components or accessories as needed. The stage is has four low-profile screws and two peg screws, ensuring seamless integration and ease of installation.
