The DM11-16 by Newport is a Differential Micrometer that is designed for precise sub-micron positioning combined with a 16 mm coarse travel range. This micrometer is equipped with a high-resolution 0.05 mm micrometer as a standard component, ensuring exceptional precision in positioning tasks. The DM11-16 has a control knob that can be utilized for coarse positioning, that allows for 1 μm sensitivity of gradual translation. It also has a fine adjustment knob that can be found close to the positioner and that allows for further optimize positioning within a constrained travel range, providing a sensitivity of 0.1 μm. The fine adjustment knob is thoughtfully graduated to allow for direct readings of positioning in 2 μm increments. The performance of the micrometer can be improved with a convenient standard mounting bezel.
