The ESP301-3G 3 Axis Motion Controller and Driver is the updated version of the widely-used ESP300 motion controller. It retains the same motion commands and control algorithms as its predecessor, and its casing has also remained unchanged for maximum backward compatibility. However, the ESP301 now comes with extended front panel functions and a standard USB and GPIB interface. This device can drive and control up to three axes of motion using DC or 2-phase stepper motors of up to 3A per axis. This feature allows for the use of various Newport stages and actuators. With its integrated manual front panel interface and Newport's ESP stage auto-detection and auto-configuration, the ESP301 offers an affordable price and user-friendly operation.
