The M-433 by Newport is a High-Performance Metric Linear Translation Stage designed to offer exceptional value, usability, and performance with M6 mounting holes and a centered load capacity of 209 N. This stage is constructed with precision ball bearings and actuators that rest upon a hardened carbide inset. These ball bearings effectively reduce friction, while the guideways ensure the elimination of unwanted runout in the bearings when subjected to external loads. This stage incorporates preloaded springs against the actuator tip, effectively eliminating backlash. Actuator mounting blocks can be easily relocated to accommodate 25 mm drives, expanding the stage's travel capability to an impressive 46 mm when used with an SM-50 micrometer drive. To ensure stability and prevent inadvertent adjustments, the M-433 includes a non-influencing lock mechanism. This feature helps maintain precise positioning once the desired configuration is achieved. Additionally, the stage can be reconfigured for both right-handed and left-handed operation, enhancing its versatility. For applications requiring vertical travel, the micrometer reconfigured so it is accessible from the opposite side of the stage.
