The MT-X by Newport is a Dovetail Manual Linear Stage designed to deliver exceptional performance in miniature component positioning. This 1-inch stage offers a remarkable travel range of 0.375 inches, enabling precise and smooth 1-axis X positioning with a resolution of 1 μm, thanks to its integral 80 pitch drive mechanism. One notable feature of this stage is its suitability for applications requiring controlled and minimal travel that remains securely locked in position for extended durations. Unlike conventional cylindrical rail systems equipped with roller bearings, the MT-X exhibits reduced susceptibility to vibration and shock. The stage's exceptional stability and accuracy are achieved through the utilization of precision preloaded dovetail slides with a unique profile, ensuring consistent and repeatable motion. For added versatility and ease of integration, this stage can be effortlessly mounted on any compatible MPH Post Holder using an 8-32 or M4 threaded brass insert. While its center load capacity is rated at less than 10 lbs, it can be seamlessly combined with a compatible rotation mount to facilitate multi-axis motion, making it adaptable to suit the specific requirements of diverse systems.
