The RTM350PE by Newport is a High-Performance Annular Rotation Stage that boasts a high load-carrying capacity and a design that is compact and annular. With a hardened gear and worm drive that is precision-grounded, precise rotation can be guaranteed, providing motion that is smooth. A double-row A double row of recirculating and pre-loaded ball bearings support a platform that rotates, adding to the excellent rigidity and capacity for a high load. The RTM350PE features mechanical limit switches and a home position that lets the stage return to a position of reference origin. Integral with the motor stage, position measuring can be performed with an encoder with 2000 pts/rev.

The RTM350PE is equipped with a knurled knob for manual control, a 0.001 degree angular resolution, and a modular design of the stage that allows user flexibility to choose drive configuration that best matches specific application requirements. It is recommended to utilize a compatible motion controller with the stage for optimum positioning performance and seamless compatibility. The stage is equipped with a 3-meter cable for connection with the motion controller. The RTM350PE utilizes a full-step drive that is used for stepper motors when 1 pulse emitted by electronics corresponds to theoretical physical motion of 1 full step of the motor. The minimum increment of a kinematic chain equals the encoder resolution value.
