The XPS-RL by Newport is a Universal High-Performance Motion Controller/Driver that is easy to use and offers high speed communication through 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet, power programming functionality, as well as outstanding trajectory accuracy. This controller/driver combines synchronization features with advanced trajectory and web interfaces that are user-friendly to control motion sequences that are basic or complex. Users can get additional data as well as synchronization and control feathers to improve motion applications with the multiple digital and analog I/O’s, triggers, and supplemental encoder inputs featured on the controller/driver. The XPS-RL can drive a maximum of 4 axes of compatible positioners with driver cards that slide through the back of the chassis. These drives are powered with an internal power supply that is independent of the controller/driver’s power supply.
