The 68945 by Newport is a microprocessor-based Digital Exposure Controller that allows for a multitude of functions that can be computer controlled and easily implemented. A crystal oscillator assures accurate exposure timing of the light source via shutter control. High stability analog circuitry and high quality light sensor construction, with thermo-electric (TE) temperature stabilization, lead to long-term output reproducibility. This controller contains both shutter drive circuitry and timing functionality. The 68945 has a digital display with multiple status indicators, RS-232 communication for computerized control and data logging, as well as audible and electronic fault indicators. This controller is best suited for timed exposures that are required without the need for ultra constant light output.
